PRIVATE 300HR TEACHER TRAINING | OPEN DOORS™ YOGA
with Shawn Cornelison, E-RYT 500, C-IAYTA
Are you ready to be a better teacher and learn Yoga the way it was traditionally taught, one on one? If so, then Shawn’s private teacher training is an excellent source of inspiration and knowledge. This is a private teacher training that is certified through Yoga Alliance and meets all of their standards. This program is centered around weekly 2-hour zoom meetings (in person when available) that can be conveniently scheduled to meet your needs. In these meetings, new material will be taught and previous content will be reviewed.
The program is focused on breath and philosophy, while the rest of the program is built around the students interests and desires. Some of the topics that may be included are: Somatics Training, Mudras, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, or Yoga & Anxiety. This is a truly customizable training. By the end of the year-long program, you will be able to present a capstone project that will be of your own making. It can be a workshop, retreat, or series of classes that highlight your learning and allow you to demonstrate your knowledge. Creating a personal practice is at the heart of the program and it is through this practice that you will engage with much of the material. It is also through this practice that you will elevate your teaching and see positive changes in your life.
The cost is $5,500 and can be paid in installments. Shawn typically accepts only 2 students a year into this program.

TESTIMONIAL
When I finished my 200-hour teacher training in 2019, I knew I was only scratching the surface of all there is to learn about yoga. I was well prepared to teach a meaningful asana practice, yet I knew there was more to discover as I continued the yoga path.
Deciding to pursue my 300-hour teacher training with Shawn was the best decision I ever made. The time we spent together was all together joyful, challenging, enlightening, empowering, and ultimately transformative. Shawn’s approach is one of deep compassion and love mixed with just the right amount of accountability. His consistently strong- yet gentle - presence served as a mirror so that I could see things I had been missing that had been holding me back, both personally and professionally as a yoga teacher. Not only that, he also gave me real and tangible skills I could take into my own practice on and off the mat, and into class with my students.
Shawn encouraged me to dive deeply into the history of yoga; and I learned so much about its philosophy and how to put the practice of knowing and living the yamas and niyamas into my daily life. The reading material and real life practices and exercises I was asked to do between sessions deepened all he shared in our classes.
In addition to philosophy and living in the yamas and niyamas, Shawn taught me Yin techniques I could teach and practice, and we covered breath in a way that showed me how every moment of my own life can be part of the practice of yoga. Perhaps the greatest lesson Shawn taught me is to be aware of who I am. He gave me insight into a newfound awareness that shines light on each moment, despite the clouds that can often get in the way. He taught me how to practice self-care moment to moment and how to choose love - for myself and for another - through this present awareness.
I will forever be grateful for Shawn’s presence in my life. He is a true friend and teacher. My practice and teaching are so much better because of everything he generously shared during my 300-hour studies. The limits to Shawn’s teachings are endless - his shining light is a gift to all his students and the yoga community at large.
If you are ever given the chance to study with Shawn, know that the universe is smiling down on you and go for it!
